HDD Camcorders

The big hit video camera back in the 90's was the camcorder with the DVD drive in them. But with technology getting better by the day, they have incorporated the hard drive calling it the hdd camcorders. With the hard drive in the camcorders it makes live much easier for all. It has become so easy to use this digital HDrive camcorder, and has a lot more advantages. It is so easy to share the video with the whole world to see. You just need a cable that plug in on the camera and a PC to download and edit the video these days you even get camcorders that we call hybrids.

These camcorders have a DVD and a hard drive equipped in them. Giving you the advantage of both the digital and the DVD world. With the DVD and hard drive in the camera there are a lot of advantages. But comes with a price. If you can only afford a camcorder with ether the HDrive or the DVD camcorder, I would prefer the hdd camcorder. They have much more advantages and is new in technology. With the HDD camcorder you can easily edit and transfer the video from the camcorder to your PC. And can then be edited.

With the DVD camcorder you must firs burn the video to a DVD and then you can put the DVD in your PC, and can then be edited and more. But I would still prefer the HDD camcorder. With some of the camcorders you can record up to 2 to 4 hour of video.

How the Xbox Kinect Stacks Up to the Competition

Video games first hit the scene in the late 70's and they are still going strong. The advent of the home version provided people with the ability to play their favorite game whenever the urge hit them. Each year programmers and developers have provided better graphics, new games and a host of improvements to keep people coming back for more. The latest craze sweeping through gamers are the interactive games that require physical movement from players during the game. So how does the new Xbox Kinect stack up to the existing types of "movement" games?

Whole Body Movement

The most obvious advantage of the Kinect is the ability to use the entire body in the game. There is no need for a controller, a wand or steering wheel. The included camera follows your body's movements and uses that movement to control the game. The "Pause" command and "Menu" can be called up by making certain hand gestures.

But it goes beyond that. If you are dancing your heart away in the dance game and you want to spin around, then spin. The player in the game will respond to your spin move. You can also jump, kick and do almost any kind of physical move while the game copies your actions. This is a big improvement over other similar games that basically only follow arm movements tied to the various controllers.

Setting Up

Getting the machine out of the box and ready to play is a straight forward process. The video camera can get its power straight from the Xbox 360 through a handy USB cord. Place the camera either below or above your television. Then follow the commands the tune the camera to your body, your television and your Xbox. It also will ask you to speak a few lines in order to get in sync with your voice.

After you are set up you can use your hand to make a waving motion near the sensor. Or you can speak "Xbox" that will bring up a command bar. From here your hand acts like a pointer on a mouse screen clicking and choosing options.

Cool Applications

Using the voice or hand commands will also let you view the different Kinect apps. Some of these applications include the ESPN channel and Zune music store. Users can use their hands to move through various music or movie choices in a sci-fi mode that will surely appeal to the techies in the family.

For people that would rather talk than wave, voice commands can also be used to scroll the applications and find what you are looking for.

With all of the technological advancements the Kinect games are sure to be a big hit for people that enjoy competitive video games such as sports and driving adventures. By offering the new setup in a handy Kinect bundle, people can open up their new items and begin almost immediately to enjoy this new advancement in the video game world.

How to Increase Your YouTube Video Views

Everyone wants to know how they can increase their YouTube video views. There are many ways to increase your YouTube video views but the best ways are the natural ways. According to Comscore 16.8 billion videos were watched in April of 2009, and that was up 16% from the month before. Imagine, with the passing of Michael Jackson how many billions of videos are being watched, worldwide, in June and July.

Keyword research is very important and must be done first. It doesn't make sense to have an entertaining, full of good content video, if no one is going to be watching it, because the Keyword research you did or did not do is not helpful. There are free tools online to help you understand, even, master keyword research.

Good search engine optimization is needed as well, but that is a topic for another article. Even a bad video that has been properly optimized for the search engines will get higher views.

The next thing to do is to make a good quality video: meaning it should have good sound, good lighting, and try to record in HD, high definition, if possible.

It's a good idea to keep your videos between 3 and 5 minutes. YouTube actually tracks if people are watching a video in it's entirety, or if they click away half way through.

Allow viewers to comment on your videos. I know, some people leave nasty comments sometimes but most people don't. YouTube has a feature that will allow you to remove comments, and they are pretty good about hiding comments that are spam. Most viewers leave helpful comments. And if you have time, you should try to respond to the comments left. Allowing user interaction will increase views.

Lastly, for this article, because there are way more techniques, post your YouTube videos in blogs, and websites outside of YouTube. When people watch the video on other sites, YouTube still counts the views for you, and you create backlinks.

How to Add Video to Website - The Fast and Easy Way

Searching for a method on how to add video to your website? Did you know that you will need too convert the video that you just shot to a flash format? Almost all of the video that you view on the web today is in a format called flash. This file format allows users of various computers and website browsers to view your video without any problems. Let's face it, video is a medium that people respond to much better than plain old text.

Sure, you could always upload your video to one of the popular video sharing websites, but what if you want to host it on your own domain... You know, maybe you would like it to look a little more professional. This is usually a problem because the files that come straight out of your camera are way too big. You will have to make the video files smaller.

So, I would like to refer you to a software that you can purchase for a nominal price, begin using immediately, and start hosting your own video on your own websites. This software that can do everything you will need is called Video Web Wizard. The software will support AVI, WMV, MOV, MPG, FLV, VOB, ASF, and MP4 video file formats. All that you have to do is upload your current video format. From there you choose your parameters and settings that you would like to use. Video Web Wizard even allows you to choose from many custom player skins.

Once you have chosen all of your settings, just hit a button and it will apply those settings, convert your video, and you are done. You can also convert multiple videos at once and create a video play list. Brand it with your business name and company logo too. The price you would pay if you were to hire someone to do this will be far more expensive than owning the software and having the ability to convert unlimited videos.

Flip Video Tips - Why Folks Are Flipping Over This Tiny Video Camera

What do megastars Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Aniston have in common? They're all flipping out over Pure Digital's Flip camera! Other Flip fanatics include Rosie O'Donnell, Pamela Anderson and the Barack Obama campaign...

It's not just celebrities who are flipping over the Flip... Rave reviews have come in from all corners of the media world, from Time magazine, ABC News and Extra TV to the Wall Street Journal, CNN and USA Today.

With product evangelists like that, perhaps it's no surprise that Pure Digital just sold their one millionth Flip Video Camcorder! The Flip has been the number one best-selling video camera on Amazon since its launch, and the camera's popularity shows no signs of abating.

In fact, Flip just released their newest and slimmest model yet, the Flip Mino. (pronounced "minnow"). The Flip cam has made shooting and uploading videos easier than ever. They have simplified the world of online video and leveled the playing field so that anyone can play!

Shooting videos with the Flip couldn't be easier, and the camera's simple interface makes recording a breeze. Just point, press record and shoot! When you're done, "flip" open the Flip's USB port, plug it into your computer and upload video instantly to the web. The Flip's built-in software even gives you the option to quickly and easily upload your video directly to YouTube, AOL Video and - with the new Flip Mino, you can upload right to MySpace, too!

It's convenient, easy to use and affordable. No wonder consumers and the media alike are gushing over the Flip...

In July, 2008, for example, the Flip won Business Week's IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards) Gold honors in the entertainment category. Business Week raved:

"This is the first camcorder to simplify the process of capturing and sharing video. With integrated software, the Ultra enables editing, organizing and seamless uploading to AOL, YouTube and other video sharing sites. Challenged to develop a product that communicates this simplicity in a fun and user friendly manner, the design team focused on the form factor, ergonomics and control layout. The result is a highly-compact camera that can fit in any pocket and provide unmatched portability and intuitive use for capturing, editing and sharing high-quality video."

The Flip was also high on the list of TIME magazine's "25 Gotta Have Travel Gadgets," calling the minicam "so easy a technophobic wife can use it." Here's what TIME had to say about the new Flip Mino model:

"Finally, a video camera so easy, a technophobic wife can use it. That's precisely the point of Flip's Mino, a cigarette-pack sized video recorder that's basically built around a big, fat, red RECORD button: Better to have a cute video camera that you'll toss into your pocketbook and use, instead of a big, complicated beast that stays home. Two gigabytes of internal memory provide 60 minutes of record time. A rechargeable battery lasts around four hours and a USB plug built onto the device lets you plug it in to a PC or Mac and automatically upload your riveting movies of Grandpa Ernie standing in front of a restaurant on the Left Bank to Myspace, YouTube or AOL."

And U.S. News & World Report claimed that no video camera is easier to use than the Flip. The magazine's David LaGesse gushes: "The Flip has made its mark with its ease of use. I know from experience that a 6-year-old can handle it. Push the red button to record; push it again to stop. Hit the play button to review clips. Plug the built-in USB connector into a PC, and a few mouse clicks later you have video online."

So what are you waiting for? Whether you go for the new $180 (USD) Mino, or the earlier and less-expensive $130 - $150 Ultra, you gotta get a Flip!

Eating Bugs Turns Into Instant YouTube Video Business

A few years ago I cashed in and moved to Thailand from the USA. One of the only things I had of any worth at all was a Sony CyberShot camera that doubled as my video camera. This camera shot 640x480 video at 30 frames per second and was quite good at it. I could have bought a separate video camera if I wanted, but I wanted something compact and able to shoot both great photos and decent videos.

I began shooting videos about things I was doing in Thailand. Then, one wacky day I decided that it would be great fun to shoot some video of me eating some insects, worms and things that I found at an outdoor Thailand market. I created the "Gross Grub Series Videos" at YouTube. The videos were of horrible quality just because I shrunk them to 320x240 resolution and a mediocre quality setting in Windows Movie Maker when I converted them. The reason being, my internet connection was my mobile phone and to upload video more than 30 megabytes large was a serious effort and usually died mid-upload.

Even so, it didn't matter. I couldn't believe what happened, suddenly my videos were getting thousands and thousands of views. I quickly applied to the "partner program" and was accepted. What that meant is that I could now have Google AdSense ads run on my videos and in the right column - and be paid for clicks on them. A part time internet business was born. I now have 177 videos posted at YouTube and over 2.3 million views.

As I went back and compared the number of hours that I worked on various online projects over the years I found that these videos actually made more money than all but one of my other projects - per hour of effort. That's incredible. It's incredible because it's easy and fun. What a business!

Take a look at YouTube and see if there is anyone on the top channels doing anything like you could envision yourself doing. Notice that there are very few experts shooting video with perfect lighting or great scripts. Some of these video stars get more views per week than certain television shows. That's crazy, but that is the power of video.

If you're interested in shooting video at YouTube, follow these simple steps:

1. Buy a simple Sony camera that shoots 640x480 video at 30 frames per second. I still use a Sony camera that shoots at this same resolution because it produces good size videos, high quality resolution (HQ) in YouTube.

2. Experiment with shooting yourself walking around and holding the camera or someone shooting you. Leaving a video camera on a tripod usually results in boring shots - better that your camera is moving around a bit to give that sense of realism.

3. Devise a topic that you love to talk about and could produce something every single day about if you wanted to. Passion about your topic seems to be the one indicator of success when it comes to any business. If you don't love it - you won't do it.

4. Experiment with different themes. You might not hit on a theme that large groups of people want to see for your first few tries. No matter, keep trying. Look at the number of top viewed girls showing makeup tips. They aren't professionals in the least and are killing the views. What if you're a guy talking about makeup tips - that would be so funny, and probably do really well. Odd, funny topics do well. Can you be funny? Might as well try, right?

5. Once you have hit upon a popular topic and have 20,000 views or so of multiple videos go ahead and apply at the YouTube partner program and see if you can get accepted. If so, you'll also need an AdSense account so Google can pay you.

6. Get to work perfecting your new business. It isn't brain surgery, and you will probably be amazed at the low quality video broadcasts that are getting millions of views.

Give it a try, it's an amazing way to make some extra money. An even better way to make all your money, yes?
